We will assume that you already have HUD ECU Hacker installed and drivers installed for this tutorial.
Since there are 3 different ECU's currently used on Odes products we will go through and show you what settings you need in HUD ECU Hacker to be able to use the diagnostics and clear codes that are available in HUD ECU Hacker.
(1) Delphi MT05 or Delphi MT05.2
These ECU's are the original ECU's used on this product line and are the most desirable to have as they can be read/written and have the most diagnostic parameters you will have in the HUD ECU Hacker program.
There is a clone of these that looks similar but lacks the Delphi branding on the case and decal. The original will look like the one shown below.
NOTE: There is a MT05 Clone that has the same options and connect-ability as the Original Delphi MT05 but lacks the branding and will look much the same as the fake MT05 shown in #2 below. You can connect and program this clone the same as you would a oem Delphi MT05.
For this ECU you would setup HUD ECU Hacker as follows in the image below. Select the Com port that says WinChipHead in the name assuming you are using the Blue cable (VAG / KKL).
If you are using a J2534 cable then you would use the setup that is shown in image J2534.
(2) Delphi MT05 (FAKE)
This ECM is not desirable as it is not able to be read/written and has limited diagnostics capabilities.
To connect with this ECM you will need to use the OBDII parameter in the parameter dropdown selection.
You cannot use the VAG / KKL cable to connect with this ECM as it is CAN only on connection, So you will be using the J2534 cable.
Notice the lack of any Delphi branding.
(3) Motion DE08
This is the newest of the 3 ECM's currently on the Odes product line and has the most potential, While HUD ECU Hacker is not able to read/write to it they are able to be written using the factory diagnostic tool but only to upload factory firmware.
Currently the Motion DE08 parameter option is not available but will be in the near future.
You are not able to connect via CAN to this ecm but you can use either the VAG / KKL cable or the J2534 cable using K-line.
When the parameter file is released these are the settings you will be using.
